Valentine's Week: Roses See Record-Breaking Sales On Blinkit, Says CEO
This year, the Valentine's Week seems to have started on a high note with the record-breaking sales of roses

It’s Rose Day today, February 7. The day marks the beginning of the Valentine Week, which culminates with the Valentine’s Day on February 14. The week presents an opportunity to couples across the world to express their affection to the loved ones. This year, the week seems to have started on a high note with the record-breaking sales of roses.

According to Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa, the quick commerce company has delivered more roses this year till 11 am than the Rose Day in 2013.

“Mad start to Valentine’s week! It’s just 11am and we’ve already sold more roses than we did on Rose day in 2023. And our analysts are telling me that there will be a bigger peak in the evening,” Dhindsa said in a post on X.

He said about 20 per cent of all orders since morning have been placed through our “Order for someone else flow”! “Love that we are able to help so many folks send a valentine’s gift today. Love is in the air indeed.”

Meanwhile, he also shares some insights on chocolate sales on the Rose Day 2024. He said it seems the chocolates today are going to be sold more than last year’s chocolate day.

“Looks like we’ll easily sell more chocolates today than we did on chocolate day last year,” Dhindsa said.
