Mumbai Man Caught on Camera Having 'Unnatural Sex' With Dog, FIR Lodged
A case under section 377 of the IPC and Section 11(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 has been registered in the Mumbra police station

An elderly man has been accused of having unnatural sex with a stray dog in Mumbai’s Mumbra. The gruesome act, which took place at Azad Nagar in Mumbra, was recorded on camera by an alert citizen and shared with some animal activists.

Later, the People for Animals (PFA) lodged an FIR against the accused man at the Mumbra police station, a TOI report mentioned.

“The accused man, identified only as Karim’, is in his mid-50s. An alert citizen had managed to get video evidence against the accused who was sexually assaulting the dog. On September 10, we managed to lodge an FIR against the accused, but he is currently absconding, ” Vijay Rangare, president of PFA-Mumbai, who is an honorary animal welfare officer, was quoted by TOI as saying.

Rangare added that after the photo of the accused was circulated around the Azad Nagar locality, some of the locals identified him as Karim.

Police are trying to locate the accused. Animal activist, Navin N, is also assisting the authorities in catching the accused.

A case under section 377 of the IPC and Section 11(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 has been registered at the Mumbra police station.

“Please, always speak up when you see an animal being abused. For if you don’t, maybe no one else will. Be the voice of someone who can’t speak or defend themselves,” Rangare added.
