After taking the market by storm in India, Maruti Suzuki has launched the 5-door Jimny in South Africa. The feature-loaded SUV has been introduced at R4,29,990 (roughly around Rs Rs 19.5 lakh). The vehicle is offered in two variants- GL and GLX.

Talking about the design, the international model shares a lot of similarities with the Indian model. It gets a proper LED headlight setup with a washer, boxy stance, heavy cladding on the sides, and similar front grills as Indian spec.

As per the details shared by the brands, the newly launched SUV comes with a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro plus touchscreen infotainment display, supported by all the car connect technology, along with wireless Android, Auto and Apple CarPlay.

When it comes to some top features, 5-door Jimny is filled with some of the advanced and trending features, which makes it unique in the segment. The list includes dual-climate automatic climate control, keyless entry, multi-functional steering wheel, cruise control model, and whatnot.

As far as safety is concerned, the SUV is loaded with tons of advanced features such as hill hold assist, hill descent control, brake LSD, ABS with EBD, parking camera with sensors, and speed alert, among others. Apart from this, the vehicle also comes with 6 airbags, keeping all the occupants safe during any mishap.

Under the hood, it is powered by the same 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, which generates a max power of 103 BHP and 134 Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission
