Did Sandeep Reddy Vanga Take an Indirect Dig at Shah Rukh Khan? Here's What Animal Director Said
Sandeep Reddy Vanga seemingly reacted to Shah Rukh Khan's recent comment about bad men dying a dog's death.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga might have taken an indirect jibe at Shah Rukh Khan’s recent comment about playing an anti-hero. The Animal director has been in the news for his controversial opinions and comments while defending the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film. In recent days, he aimed comments at Kiran Rao, director and Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar. In a new interview, Vanga was defending the film’s climax when he seemingly took a jibe at SRK’s recent statement.

For the unversed, at the CNN News18 Indian of the Year last month, Shah Rukh opened up about playing the bad guy on the big screen. He said, “I am a guy who is hopeful and tells happy stories. The heroes I play do good things, they give hope and happiness. If I play a bad guy, I make sure he suffers a lot, he dies a dog’s death, because I believe goodness begets goodness. And I believe badness deserves a kick in the back side. I should play honest roles that give people courage to dream. I should keep working hard quietly with the hope that life doesn’t topple my apple cart anytime soon.”

In a conversation Siddharth Kannan, Vanga made a comment that appeared to be a reaction to SRK’s comment. “People don’t understand what glorification means. They expect the hero to give a lecture in the climax, where he admits to all his mistakes, they expect him to die a dog’s death,” he said, opening the gate of speculations.

Meanwhile, Vanga expressed his wish to work with Shah Rukh in the future. Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, he said that while he has met the superstar twice, they haven’t spoken about any collaborations yet. “I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan sir. Every hero ke liye kuch na kuch idea rahega. In Hindi, I definitely want to work with Shah Rukh sir, Ranveer Singh,” he said.
